Well December's here and almost gone already... Thanks to everyone still sticking with this blog. Hope it's still fun. Here's a few recent thrift store moments to share.
Jesus is the reason for the season...
And I wanna grow up to be this man. Too late!
This photo makes me feel oddly. I like old technology and stuff, but it has that creepy basement vibe, no?
Plot twist from the third season of Mad Men?
Is this reminds me of my ex. Don't ask me why.
Nothing quite sums up two hundred years of America like a dude with a gun and another dude in a space suit.
By the way, had the artist ever seen an astronaut? Looks more like a welder in fishing gaiters that dropped a load in his pants, but that's just me.
Ladies and gentleworms, the world's creepiest painting.
Dead guy in the laps of a bunch of women....
Painted in 1969 by "Hatty Hatch" -- part of the Manson Family, no doubt....
Apt, creepy title too.
What better way to say Happy Holidays than Mr. T reminding us all to be somebody. Fool.

I'll admit it, love the weird ones.
I went to the Orange County Museum of Art many years ago - at that time, it was housed at South Coast Plaza - not sure if it's still there - but they had an exhibit of thrift store paintings...I think "crisis" would have been right at home there.
great new finds! happy new year!
Brim over I agree but I contemplate the post should acquire more info then it has.
Prompt reply)))
Again a gentle post. Thanks your friend
I would have bought that Hatty Hatch for next year's Yankee Swap at work. PERFECT!
So, Thanks for making my day and making me laugh out loud!!! I randomly came across your blog whilst googling World Thrift's growing empire (who knew).
You have a marvellous sense of humour and need to be sending things into late night t.v. or atleast writing for it.
Great post to end my evening. Thanks for the laugh.
Your blog fascinates me. As someone who makes a career of finding the good in thrifting, often times I completely miss the weird, strange, or downright creepy stuff that makes it's way into thrift stores. You have to wonder what doesn't make the cut if that stuff is up for sale.
That "dead guy" in the lap is actualy a dog.
I see how you were easily confused hahaha.
Hatty Hatch Stroppa painting worth about $200.00 ;)
By the way, had the artist ever seen an astronaut? Looks more like a welder in fishing gaiters that dropped a load in his pants, but that's just me.
Very effective material, thanks so much for this post.
